Xchange Medical earns 2021 Top Project Award

Selected by a panel of judges, based on the degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts, we are proud to announce the 77,500 SF state-of-the-art medical facility, Xchange Medical, has been named a 2021 Top Project by Finance and Commerce. Working with Davis and Synergy Architectural Studio, Timco built Xchange Medical with a focus on optimism, collaboration and pure determination to overcome a variety of challenges, including an increase in the costs of materials, an unprecedented labor shortage and major supply chain issues. Despite it all, the team followed through on their commitment to deliver this state-of-the art medical building to the City of St. Louis Park and surrounding community.

More About Xchange Medical

Both interior and exterior stone was supplied by local stone vendors. This not only helped create a stunning facility but simultaneously allowed us to enhance our ability to utilize sustainable construction practices by reducing gas emissions during material delivery.

 

Large windows allow natural light to permeate into the facility, creating a bright and airy ambiance that enhances comfort and promotes wellness.

 

A section of existing concrete was removed to allow space for a 5,000 SF healing garden. The healing garden provides an outdoor place of respite for patients, family and providers.

 

Biophilic design elements, including a 21.5’ living wall, are seamlessly incorporated into the interior naturally enhancing air quality and bringing the beauty of the outdoors in.
