About

Timco Construction

Timco Construction was founded by Thomas E. McKee, or Tom as most knew him. Tom served in the Navy as a Petty Officer 1st Class in the Korean War. In 1955, Tom returned home to Robbinsdale, Minnesota where he decided to attend Saint Cloud State University earning a B.A. in economics. Upon graduation, Tom began working in residential construction. His knack for numbers paired with an honest approach to business made him a natural at winning work and forming strong relationships.

With a handful of loyal customers, in 1957 Tom started his own general contracting company, Thomas E. McKee Construction, which he soon renamed Timco Construction with the birth of his son, and current President & CEO, Timothy McKee. Built on a foundation of loyalty, flexibility, and collaboration, the company quickly grew.

Beginning in 1982, the firm began to focus almost exclusively on serving the healthcare industry and has completed more than $500M worth of medical facility work over the past 25 years. With a solid track-record of completing exceptional work for healthcare clients throughout the Midwest, today Timco works with the mission of “embracing innovative, sustainable construction solutions and strategic partnerships to exceed client expectations”. As the future of healthcare evolves, Timco will continue to deliver the most comprehensive range of healthcare construction services in the industry.
